All entry-level law enforcement positions with the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office are governed by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission.

Individuals interested in becoming a Sheriff’s Officer must apply through the New Jersey Civil Service Commission testing and eligibility process. Applicants must successfully complete the Civil Service examination and be placed on an eligibility list before they may be considered for employment by the Sheriff’s Office.
