Undersheriff Nart Hapatsha's career in law enforcement is nothing short of remarkable, characterized by a series of promotions, specialized training, and significant responsibilities.
Beginning his journey as a Full-Time Corrections Officer in August 1988, Hapatsha quickly proved himself capable, assuming supervisory responsibilities and demonstrating a commitment to maintaining order and security within the correctional facility.
Throughout his career, Hapatsha undertook various roles, steadily climbing the ranks. Promoted to the rank of Corporal in January 1991 and then Detective/Corporal in September 1994, he showcased his investigative skills and dedication to apprehending individuals wanted by the Superior Court.
In April 2008, Hapatsha's career took a significant turn when he was promoted to the rank of Commander, entrusted with overseeing the Intelligence Division and Hostage Negotiation Team. With the election of Sheriff Richard Berdnik in 2010, Hapatsha's responsibilities expanded further as he assumed the position of Administrative Commander.
