The Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) Unit of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office plays a critical support role in solving crimes by meticulously documenting, collecting, and preserving physical evidence from crime scenes. As an assisting agency, our CSI Unit works in close collaboration with municipal police departments, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, and other law enforcement partners across the county.
Staffed by highly trained crime scene technicians, the unit responds to a wide variety of incidents, including homicides, assaults, burglaries, fatal accidents, and other major crimes. CSI personnel use state-of-the-art forensic tools and follow strict protocols to ensure evidence integrity from the scene to the courtroom.
