The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office proudly offers Identification Cards for children and adults with autism as part of our ongoing commitment to public safety, awareness, and compassionate service. This initiative supports individuals on the autism spectrum by ensuring that critical personal and medical information is readily available to first responders in the event of an emergency.

These ID cards help bridge the communication gap that may occur during high-stress situations, providing essential details such as the individual’s name, emergency contacts, and autism diagnosis—helping responders act appropriately and safely.

Program Highlights:

  • Includes a photo, name, emergency contact information, and medical designation
  • Designed to help first responders quickly recognize that the cardholder is on the autism spectrum
  • Enhances safety, understanding, and response during emergencies or interactions with law enforcement

Who Can Participate:

This program is available to:

  • Schools and educational institutions
  • Community organizations
  • Support groups and care facilities serving individuals with autism

Together, we can build a safer and more inclusive community—one ID at a time.
