The Senior ID Program is one of the most valued community initiatives of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, proudly serving thousands of older adults throughout the county. With the well-being of our senior citizens at the forefront, this program offers free photo identification cards that include essential personal, emergency contact, and medical information—helping first responders act quickly in the event of an emergency.

What's Included on the ID Card:

  • Recent photograph of the cardholder
  • Name, date of birth, and emergency contact information
  • Relevant medical details that may be helpful in an emergency

How to Get a Senior ID:

  • Group Requests: Senior groups and organizations in Passaic County can request an on-site ID event by submitting the appropriate request form or calling the Community Policing Division at 973-389-5920. Officers will coordinate a visit to your location to issue ID cards.
  • Individual Appointments: Seniors may also make an individual appointment to receive their ID card at our headquarters in Wayne. To schedule, call 973-389-5920.

Eligibility:

  • Must be 60 years of age or older
  • Must provide proof of Passaic County residency (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill, or expired senior ID card)

This program is offered free of charge as part of our continued commitment to serving the senior community with dignity, respect, and care.
